Playing Favorites – Younique 3D Mascara

I have a confession to make. I am completely jealous of my six year old son’s eyelashes. They’re long, thick, and beautiful and I know when he’s about 17 45 they’ll reel the women in. My lashes aren’t necessarily short but they lack volume and are pretty light, so when I’m not wearing mascara it’s hard to tell I even have eyelashes.

About four months ago a girlfriend tried eyelash extensions. They looked incredible and she loved them so much she convinced me to try them. That turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. Not only were they not completely adhered to my eyelids, but they were heavy and uncomfortable. Needless to say, I ended up pulling them off within a week because I hated them, which was another horrible mistake because that tore out my own lashes and I was out all the money I spent on them. I was looking awesome.

Around that time I began seeing posts from my friend Sasha on Facebook about this Younique 3D Fiber Mascara that was the verybestthingever.  Considering my last go around with my eyelashes I wasn’t really confident about trying anything else so I ignored her posts for a few months.

However, she kept posting pictures of clients with no mascara and with the 3D mascara and I couldn’t help it – I was intrigued.  The difference in the pictures was amazing so I finally gave in and tried it.

It. Is. Incredible.

The smaller picture is with no mascara (Ugh) the larger is with the 3D mascara. Huge difference, right? I’m seriously in love with it.

This mascara is made up of natural fibers pulled from green tea leaves (unlike some other companies that use plastic slivers in theirs) so it’s safe should you ever get a fiber in your eye. It’s easy to apply, stays on (I’ve slept in mine before – I know, shame on me) and easy to remove. It’s also water proof which completely passed the test when I went swimming in the ocean and it didn’t smear down my face one teeny tiny bit (score!).

For your own Younique 3D mascara go to her website www.getfiberlashes.com to order -if you’re local Sasha can deliver it to you, and if you’re out of town she’ll ship it (I got mine right before we left for the airport because she’s that awesome). Make sure you tell her I sent you and then post your with/without pictures!
